Chief Financial Officer appointment at private equity backed Comparison Technologies

Comparison Technologies was formed in August 2017 in preparation for the simultaneous buyouts of energyhelpline.com and UK Web Media by Inflexion Private Equity, which completed in April 2018.

Comparison Technologies is a multi-channel price comparison enabler in home services (energy, broadband, TV and telephone), and the only independent player in the UK that can provide multi-channel, online and offline (call centre), price comparison-driven switching in the home services category.

Spectrum was retained by energyhelpline.com in summer 2017 to search for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the run-up to the deal.

The search resulted in the successful appointment of Peter Callander, formerly of Saga.

Peter is now CFO of the group. Paul Green, the CEO of energyhelpline.com, is CEO of Comparison Technologies.
