A dual country search with our Dutch colleagues for a Vice President, ICT
Spectrum’s confidential client is a NYSE listed, pan European interconnection hub for leading enterprises. They serve 1600+ customers from 45 data centres in 13 cities.
Spectrum’s client required a dual country search to take place in The Netherlands and in the UK to source a Vice President, Information & Communication Technology (ICT), who would report to the COO.
The company’s Senior Vice President, Human Resources, based in Amsterdam, retained our Dutch colleagues at Glasford International, Avon Arrow, to manage the search.
Spectrum’s role was to search the UK market for the most appropriate and qualified candidates, whilst Avon Arrow searched the market in Holland, and managed the client relationship.
We worked for our Dutch colleagues in a consistent manner that was compliant with the methodologies they had agreed with the client.
The candidate longlist comprised executives from both the UK and from Holland. First round interviews were conducted by the SVP HR in both London and Amsterdam, second round interviews with the COO, and final round interviews with the CEO.
A Dutch based candidate was subsequently appointed, with full and unbiased background candidate referencing undertaken by Spectrum from the UK.
