Non-Executive Chair appointment at Feefo, the trusted reviews and customer experience management organisation

Launched in 2010, Feefo is a fast-growth trusted reviews, insights and customer experience management organisation.

Headquartered in the UK, and with direct operations in the US and Australia, it serves consumer brands in a number of vertical markets, including retail; travel; financial services; property and recruitment.

Enterprise customers include Expedia; Airbnb; uSwitch; Aviva; Virgin; Charles Tyrwhitt; Hiscox; Next and Gant.

Following a successful MBO in November 2018, the business is now owned by management and Vespa Capital.

Spectrum was retained by Feefo’s CEO, Matt West, to identify an exceptional candidate to take on the post-MBO role of Non-Executive Chair.  The Chair would be tasked with supporting management in achieving its strategic objectives of significant revenue growth and acquisitions.

The successful candidate would be an entrepreneurial executive from the B2B SaaS sector and bring experience as a successful CEO of a growth business during their executive career, including M&A.

The search resulted in the successful appointment of John Pocock.

Following an early career at IBM and Accenture, John was hired into Druid Group in 1989 as the fifth employee. He sold the company as CEO in 2000 for £770 million, at which point it had 700 employees globally.

Today, John holds a portfolio of non-executive roles, sitting on the board of four companies, including CognitoIQ, a £10 million turnover employee performance analytics business, and Maven, a Venture Capital Trust.

Daniel Osmer, Managing Partner, Spectrum said, “John is the ideal candidate to take on the role of Non-Executive Chair at Feefo.  An experienced board member, he brings the energy and experience required to support the company as it continues its impressive growth under the leadership of CEO Matt West.  We wish them both well for the future”.
