Non-Executive Director, Software
Spectrum’s retained client is a fast-developing software (SaaS) business based in the UK, which benefits from the investment and network support of a multinational oil and gas organisation.
The opportunity exists for a Non-Executive Director to join the Board to provide strategic advice with regard to the company’s approach to global channel development and management. It already benefits from a captive distributor network worldwide through it’s strategic investor, and the primary objective will be to engage with this audience in an optimal way.
This is a strategic board role, and the time commitment is likely to be 1-2 days per month. It would suit a current or former C-level software industry executive with extensive experience of international channel development. Specific experience with automotive, parts or oil distributors could be a significant advantage. The rewards include cash remuneration and stock participation.
Chief Marketing Officer, eCommerce
Spectrum has recently begun a retained search on behalf of a major international consumer-facing organisation to recruit a CMO to be based in the UK.
The CMO will join the executive management team, and be responsible for creating and executing an eCommerce strategy that successfully monetises at scale the company’s consumer assets. This is a newly-created role within a business which is already pursuing a number of innovative and well-supported eCommerce initiatives.
The rewards include a competitive base salary, 50% on-target bonus, stock participation and executive benefits.
The role would suit a charismatic, collaborative influencer with a successful track record of inspiring consumers to buy at scale via eCommerce. Experience of M&A, an appreciation of the role of content, data analytics, and eCommerce operations would all be highly-valued. The role is both strategic and tactical in nature, and presents a rare opportunity to drive eCommerce in a consumer business of real substance that is fully-committed to leveraging its strengths to capture this very significant monetisation opportunity.
Non-Executive Chairman, Services to Software
Spectrum’s retained client is an award-winning UK-headquartered business which delivers high-value bespoke services to major organisations worldwide in a number of industry verticals.
In 2014, Spectrum hired a highly-experienced Chief Technology Officer to build a software product suite for the company that would enable it to capture at scale the global market opportunity that exists within its fast-developing niche.
In tandem with a significant ‘A’ round of funding, the opportunity now exists for a Non-Executive Chairman to lead the Board, and to provide strategic advice to the company as it evolves it’s core business model from bespoke services to mass-market SaaS.
The time commitment is likely to be 2 days per month minimum, and would suit a current of former C-level executive with experience of developing and growing at scale an international software business. Experience of investor management, founder mentoring, and operating in a changing regulatory environment would be of real value. The rewards include cash remuneration and stock participation.
Chief Sales & Marketing Director, Security Technology Solutions
Spectrum’s retained client provides complex, high-value security technology solutions to organisations worldwide in a number of key vertical markets.
Having grown significantly over the last 7 years, a commercial leader is now required to join the executive management team to drive the next stage of the company’s organic growth.
Strategically, the target is to develop from £40 million+ revenue to £100 million revenue over the next five years, and to occupy a global market-leading position in five industry verticals (it currently is a market-leader in two).
To achieve this objective, the company now seeks an entrepreneurial but structured executive with the ability to clearly define the company’s proposition and to take it to market in an effective way.
The role would suit an experienced, ‘hands-on’ commercial leader; skilled in both sales, marketing and international team management.
The rewards include a competitive base salary, performance-related bonus, executive benefits and annual stock awards.
